We enjoyed listening to your song “Different”. What is the story behind the song and how did you create/write it? Also, what inspired the song title?
I’m very glad you liked the song! I wrote ‘Different‘ in the early days of the lockdown in Italy, I felt the need, in that climate of distrust towards others, to remember that we are all equal, that each of us dreams and suffers in the same way. It was a very strong feeling that led me to write the song in just two days. The title comes from the concept that what makes men equal, what defines them, is diversity, originality and not conformity.
We understand that there is a music video that accompanies the song. What ideas went into making the video and is there any story – or message – that you hope the video contains?
The video (written by Gabriele Massidda and Francesca Turbini with me) wants to be an extension of the message of the song. The message that I hope will arrive is that of the importance of closeness, of contact, of humanity in such a lonely and divisive moment.
If you had to describe your sound, how would you do so? Furthermore, what artists (or other sources) do you cite as influences?
My sound, that here I have ‘dressed’ with a rock sound, I would define it as the coexistence of melancholic and energetic. I have been very inspired by artists like Daft Punk and Pink Floyd, by directors like Paolo Sorrentino and by writers like Alain Damasio and Milan Kundera.
What have been career highlights so far? And what is on your bucket list that you’d like to achieve?
My career has just begun, this is my first professional single, I am very happy and grateful for all the people who are helping me and believing in my project, for me it is already a great achievement. I would like to make someone feel better with my music, to make them feel less alone, to make them feel understood.

If you could be the main support for any living artist, who would that be for and why? Alternatively, what would be your dream live booking?
I would love to perform with Nile Rodgers, his style and energy is one of my biggest inspirations and I think it would be a lot of fun.
What artists have you been listening to? Additionally, who should others be listening to?
Lately I’ve been listening to (and I highly recommend) Clara Luciani’s album ‘Coeur’, King Princess’ album ‘cheap Queen’ and Charlotte Cardin.
