Described as a “folk rock tune for the age of doom-scrolling”, ‘Bitter Fruit’ by Mike Lee delivers a warm Americana sound that has a good energy to it and full-bodied vocals. The instrumentation in this song is lively and has a rich, organic, and earthy timbre that gives the song a traditional authenticity, rather than the sanitised country-pop styles that are dominant on some radios. In short, this song has a good character and melodic hooks delivered by some great guitar playing and a layered mix that is balanced and full-sounding.
