We were impressed with your music when we first heard your previous single “My Glass Of Wine”. More recently, you’ve just released a new song, “God Damn”. What is the story behind the song and how did you create/write it? Also, what inspired the song title?
I wrote God Damn when I was on holidays at the sea, I only had my ukulele with me. I wasn’t in the best shape, I felt quite lonely and I needed to express this impression to not being really connected with myself, just like an ocean was separating me from myself. I also had this idea of writing a song about two people who loved each other very much but fantasized a little too much about the relationships like in the love movies. It was obvious that the title was God Damn, it’s the first words I wrote of this song and it expresses quite well these shared feelings I had.
If you had to describe your sound, how would you do so? Furthermore, what artists (or other sources) do you cite as influences?
It’s always hard to answer this question, I would say that I make dark electro pop. I’m very inspired by Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lana Del Rey but I’m also inspired by movies like Lolita by Adrian Lyne, Fight Club by David Fincher. In fact all forms of art can inspire me. For example, my sister paints and I hung one of her paintings right above my piano because, for some reason that I can’t explain, this painting inspires me in a way that pushes me to go as far as possible to find all the emotions that I keep hidden deep inside of me to bring them out in songs.

How would you describe your music journey? When did you start writing, recording and releasing music? What has it been like so far?
I started taking piano lessons when I was 8 years old and started writing my songs around 13/14 years old and went into the studio to record my first EP when I was just 17. It’s an adventure every day but such an exciting adventure! Less than a year after I went into the studio, the EP is out and it’s completely crazy! It’s hard to realise it all but I’m so proud of the path I’ve taken and all of it surrounded by my parents! It’s a family affair now.
What have been career highlights so far? And what is on your bucket list that you’d want to achieve?
Releasing my first EP Trouble Maker, shooting the videos, doing the shoots for the covers of the singles and the EP. I was in a waking dream every time! I would love to be able to tour to defend my songs on stage! I would also love to be able to collaborate with artists who inspire me and of course meet the people who listen to and love my music and try to reach as many people as possible.

If you could be the main support for any living artist, who would that be for and why? Alternatively, what would be your dream live booking?
If I had to choose an artist, I would choose Taylor Swift or Lorde because I like the way they write. They are storytellers and that’s what I like. My dream concert would be in a big hall with my musicians, doing a big show with dancers, lots of visuals and being joined on stage by my favourite artists!
What artists have you been listening to? Additionally, who should others be listening to?
I recently listened a lot to Madison Beer’s last album ‘Life support‘, Marvin Gaye’s ‘Trouble Man‘ album, The 1975, Taylor Swift obviously, for me ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore‘ are masterpieces, and there is a French rapper I really admire called Nekfeu! That’s what I’m listening to right now and what I recommend to listen to.
