“Hope You’re Happy” by noelle

A powerful vocal hook introduces this gem of a pop song, rather fitting given the self-confidence that noelle exudes – both in terms of the song with its lyrical content and the video that then embodies this feeling in a visual way. The song quickly grows in stature and cleverly maximises the impact of each passage by using dynamics and pauses at distinct intervals, ensuring that the music hits the mark in style.

Noelle’s voice is crystal clear and full of melodic hooks, these aspects are then exacerbated by the immaculate production that gives the song a particular finesse. Bold bass beats then add extra depth and help to drive the song along, both musically and percussively. All of this comes together, resulting in a refined pop song that will do well with audiences far and wide.

Noelle explains: “’Hope You’re Happy’ was a really unique song for me to write. I’m so passionate about creating sad ballads about love but I wanted this one to be more powerful for the listener. We’ve all been faced with the situation of seeing someone we loved with a new person and while we want to take the high road, sometimes vengeance is the real emotion that stirs within us“. Noelle then discusses the video: “Shooting this video allowed me to stand in my power, thinking about every person who has had to walk away from a relationship that wasn’t working for them. To me, smashing that mirror signifies the destruction of what was and a return to yourself, finally letting go of the person who was holding you back.”
