Interview: a lost decade

We enjoyed listening to your song “Once Upon a Time”. What is the story behind the song and how did you create/write it? Also, what inspired the song title?
Hey really thanks you for listening the song! The song was composed  in 2011 in a previous project (Duck explosion a strange group of duck and firecrackers (laugh)! the idea of producing it properly never left me, and bam ten years later I reached my goal (laugh again). The song was written by a former member of the duck explosion, but strange events have happened to him, since we’ve had no news our only hope is that the aliens did not take him away. Most of the lyrics of our song tell a story. The idea of writing about native American’s disappearance was inspired by Iron’s Maiden song (Run To The Hills). Once upon a time come from Quentin Tarantino’s movie. Those words sounded very well with the melody song.

If you had to describe your sound, how would you do so? Furthermore, what artists (or other sources) do you cite as influences?
For the influences, bands like Foo Fighters, The Strokes, Sonic Youth, Placebo and so many more… We‘re like to sound like 90’s band certainly a lost decade, the guitars are dense and present vocals melody too. But sometimes other influences, like Queen, or Iron maiden make us compose in a different way with different rhythmic or melodic signatures.

What have been career highlights so far? And what is on your bucket list that you’d want to achieve
Highlights…. Hard question hmmm We didn’t die at 27, like most of famous artists, We hope to go at least as far as Lemmy.

If you could be the main support for any living artist, who would that be for and why? Alternatively, what would be your dream live booking?
The Strokes because I’m huge fan it’s a good reason, no? A great live booking Reading, Glastonbury.

What artists have you been listening to? Additionally, who should others be listening to?
We listen a lot things in many different styles for example we really like Beastie Boys, Daft Punk, Chemical Brother or Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and so many more… keep listening a lost decade, I mean it’s the only thing to do right now (laugh).
