Santa Cruz-based alternative-rock quartet, Arcane Lullaby, caught our attention with their song ‘Break Free’ from their recently released third album ‘Oracular Muse’ mixed by Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer/engineer Ulrich Wild.

A jagged guitar hook with an angular character opens this song and is soon joined by distinctive vocals that deliver some thought-provoking lyrics that demonstrate prog-rock influences. The guitar solo later in the song further leans into these prog-rock characteristics and adds a creative flair that works well whilst the middle-eight takes the song in a different direction which then adds a fresh dimension that takes the song up a level
