The Cleveland-born, and now based in New York, rock and roll singer-songwriter – Dan Miraldi – has treated us to a wonderful song with warm acoustic guitar melodies, delightful piano lines, and characterful vocals that, together, form a fabulously chilled song that is ideal for the autumn/winter transition and is an ideal song to soundtrack a book-reading evening surrounded by candles or sat in front of a log fire.
For anyone unfamiliar with Dan Miraldi, this song will certainly serve as a superb introduction that should pique your interest and entice you to listen to his existing discography.
In his own words, Dan Miraldi offers more details about this song and latest news: “Hot off the heels of last year’s full-length, Radio Friendly Darling, Dan Miraldi is back with the first taste from his next offering, Ulysses. The album continues Miraldi’s fondness for fusing his singer-songwriter heart with the catchiest elements of garage rock and power pop. Although the upcoming album promises plenty of rock and roll fare, he leans into the folky singer-songwriter vulnerability with his latest single “You’re My Home.” The song is not out of Miraldi’s wheelhouse and could have sat well with the music of his twin folky 2020 Mood Music LPs. In his continually growing catalogue of now eight albums and eight EPs in, sincerity remains his strong suit while singing lines like, “In the silver spinning light, I see chapters of my life. Like a captain through the night, I seek home” and “we still have wild nights, but some phases we’ve moved past.” Miraldi is maturing gracefully. He still knows how to party, but he’s not afraid to show us where his heart is as he has evolved.”
